Chillith Fair

In its third year, local musician Phelan LaVelle’s righteous Chillith Fair event features women- and LGBTQ-centric music, art, poetry, face painting, tarot, a raffle and more, with proceeds supporting various community organizations. This year’s beneficiaries are Athens PRIDE, Atlanta’s Lost-n-Found Youth and the Athens Yoga Project, and performers include Nihilist Cheerleader, Hannie and the Slobs, Crunchy, Pamela and Her Sons, Shania the Artist, Blue Bodies, O Key and others. The two-day event, the music portion of which takes place at Go Bar, also features a Friday yoga session at the Healing Arts Centre and a Saturday performance at the Jittery Joe’s Roaster by the South East Women Wrestlers.
