In honor of Martin L. King Jr. Day, a small local school, Double Helix STEAM School, sent its students around Athens to fill each and every Athens Little Free Pantry with food donated by the students to ensure that people in need would know that someone is thinking of them during these freezing cold days.
Now counter that caring gesture with the ignorant Orange Trumpkin and his day of remembering a great American by playing golf and not by service, as his predecessors Obama, Bush and Clinton had done. As the saying goes: a little child shall lead them… and not by people like Trump and Sen. David Perdue, Trump’s lying toady, who care only about people like themselves.
Happy fourth birthday to Double Helix School, which shows Athens time and again that it is a winner.
