“Funeral Stories,” a new, Athens-based comedy podcast that aims to change the way people contemplate and talk about death, hosts an official launch party Monday at Go Bar featuring a live recording of an episode. Audience members are encouraged to participate for chances to win gifts from 14 sponsors—including a three-night stay on Amelia Island, FL—and the live recording will be followed by a dance party led by DJ Twin Powers. Co-hosts Laura Brooker and Casey Maleno have created a platform for people to share their personal stories of death, loss and grief—and to hopefully find humor and solace along the way. New episodes are posted every Wednesday on iTunes.
