Ampline, Eureka California, Antlered Aunt Lord

Ohio-based trio Ampline has consistently kicked out intricate, propulsive post-punk jams since 2001, releasing four full-length albums in that time, including the 2010 standout You Will Be Buried Here. Now, the group, which features R.Ring’s Mike Montgomery plus former members of semi-obscure indie bands Elk and The Light Wires, is touring behind a fifth LP, Passion Relapse, out now on SofaBurn Records. Ampline hits Athens on Friday for a Little Kings gig with local support from garage-punk duo Eureka California and eccentric rock outfit Antlered Aunt Lord. The show is being presented by the promo firm Public Access, a new venture from Eureka California’s Marie Uhler.
