Hot Corner Festival

For the 17th consecutive summer, the Hot Corner Celebration and Soul Food Festival returns to the Hull and Washington corner downtown. A celebration of African-American community, commerce and creativity, the two-day affair features music, dance, art, food, kids’ entertainment and more. Friday’s events take place at the First AME Church, with a men’s wellness breakfast featuring an appearance from DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond, plus a gospel program that evening. Saturday’s all-day outdoor lineup includes hip-hop artists Blacknerdninja, Jet Squad, Ziggy RoxXx and Billy D. Brell, as well as John Dunn and the Jazzman Band, Milyssa Rose, Shedrick Barnett and many others. Find the full schedule at facebook.com/HotCornerATH.
