Multicult, Motherfucker, Waitress

If you’re planning to hit up the Caledonia on Wednesday, make sure to pack industrial-strength earplugs. The three bands on the bill serve up differing takes on bombastic noise-rock, all of it cranked up past 11. Hard-hitting Baltimore trio Multicult plays scuzzed-out, beat-based post-punk in the style of Big Black; the band’s most recent album, last year’s Variable Impulse, contrasted inky fuzz with lithe, danceable rhythms. Athens act Motherfucker is riding high after releasing an excellent debut LP, Confetti. Fellow locals Waitress traffic in cheeky nihilism and jigsaw sonics. Again, it’s all gonna be loud.

9:30 p.m. $5 (21+), $7 (18–20). caledonialounge.com
