Philly duo Pattern is Movement has undergone a rather dramatic stylistic change over the course of its decade-plus existence, evolving from math-y avant-pop group to synth-driven neo-soul outfit. The band’s latest, a dense but pop-oriented self-titled LP out earlier this year via Hometapes, has drawn comparisons to Dirty Projectors and Grizzly Bear, but its layered, highly processed vocals and spherical song structures also recall those of EDM outcast James Blake. Wednesday’s show features an all-around fabulous bill; the live-band version of local psych outfit Faster Circuits, which released a deliriously good debut LP, Tunes of Glory, last year, has taken on a life of its own and should not be missed.
